BACKBEND WITH EASE WORKSHOP

Backbends offer a wonderful opportunity to open up the physical and emotional body. As we move backwards, we stimulate and awake all the nerves along the spines, strengthen the supporting muscles and increase our spine mobility.
In this 2 hour workshop we will:
🌟 Warm up the spine with a short dynamic heart opening and core strengthening flow
🌟Explore the benefits and mechanics of backbending
🌟 Learn how to use and integrate your muscles to keep you safe and strong during backbends
🌟 Focus on deepening flexibility around all parts of your spine and opening a space around your heart
🌟 Look at shifting back bending practice from the lumbar spine which is naturally flexible to opening from the upper and thoracic spine
🌟Learn how to adapt back ending practice to your own body structure to find fluid movement that works for you

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
Please bring your yoga mat if you have one. Otherwise, you can book your mat with me free of charge when making a booking for the class. Wear comfy clothing and don't forget to bring a bottle of water.
Suitable for all levels, although you might get more out of the workshops if you are not a complete beginner.
The cost for the workshop is £25.
